Retreat in Place VII - Our Narratives with Frank Sheldon

24 Hours of Silence with Frank Sheldon

We all play a part in various narratives, some minor, some of more significance for us and others, and even some of great significance for all life and, perhaps, beyond. We are all players. Do we play our parts in our narratives or do our parts play us without our consent? We will be sharing the experience of our narratives and the roles we play in them during a 24-hour period of silence.

For: those looking to establish and/or deepen a practice of silence, including musicians, artists, professionals, laborers, home-makers. Families are encouraged to participate together.

Participants commit to:

  1. Attend two Zoom meetings and three teleconference meetings.

  2. Perform exercises as able.

  3. Keep silence as you are able for twenty four hours between Zoom meetings.

Strong suggestions:

Complete abstention from email, news, and social media.
