Seven days of SILENCE, listening, and composing for Music Box

Join thoughtful, curious, engaged, supportive human beings for seven days of silence, listening, composing for music box, informal performances, and reporting moments from our day.

No prior training necessary.

A workshop for people who would like to explore creativity through music. For curious, supportive, thoughtful humans - you don’t have to ever have written music before. Everyone writes and everyone shares their creations for music box (no electronics).

Each day there will be a morning sitting and an evening session including sharing moments from our day, and presentations on Reporting, Introductions to Composition, Listening Exercises, and performances of music written for music box.

Participants MUST purchase a Kikkerland music box kit and punch cards prior to December 29. Expect delays in delivery.

We believe that everyone has the capacity to hear new music and bring it into this world. Through working in groups, each of us gains support and experience listening to internal inspiration, and communicating that inspiration to others. Experienced musicians challenge their own internal critics, and gain tools to work through creative blocks. Beginning musicians gain support and basic tools to write and share their own music.
