Former Alexander Teacher Frank Sheldon discusses how to recognize help when it is available, and how to accept this help when it seems impossible.

An opportunity to unplug, take time out, and to gently examine your experience.

4 Zoom meetings and an introductions to sitting. To apply, email apply[at]creatingmusictogether[dot]org, tell us who you are and why you want to join. Please put “Retreat in Place” in the subject line.

Schedule:
Friday 5:30 pm - Introductions and intentions.
9:00 pm - Evening session
Saturday 9:00 am - Introduction to Sitting
1:30 pm - Afternoon session
4:30 pm - Final session

Each of us commits to silence in between as we are able. For: those looking to establish and/or deepen a practice of silence, including musicians, artists, professionals, laborers, home-makers. Families are encouraged to participate together.

Participants commit to:

  1. Attend two Zoom meetings and three teleconference meetings.

  2. Perform exercises as able.

  3. Keep silence as you are able for twenty four hours between Zoom meetings.

Strong suggestions:

Complete abstention from email, news, and social media.
